In order to foster the careers of our Hellenic youth, the Board of Directors has undertaken a program entitled the Student/Resident Observer Program.
Several Philadelphia hospitals and various Hellenic Medical Society members have offered observer rotations with them, lasting 1-4 weeks. During these rotations, students will attend hospital rounds, office hours and research laboratory of mentor while participating in the academic enterprise of the Hospital. At the end of these rotations, students are to complete an exit interview with the HMS and write a letter summarizing their experience.
It is the hope of the Board that these rotations may result in support of the student’s and resident’s applications through letters of recommendations and professional networking.
